To the editor,

We, the members of American Legion Post 17, Naugatuck, greatly appreciate all the support given to us over the past years. Donations to our Poppy Drive, which will be coming again in November, truly reflected your spirit and dedication to our veteran community. Your tremendous support continued to flow with the support of our POW/MIA Vigil, held on the Naugatuck town Green this past June.

Once again, we ask your support, by asking you to pray for our prisoners of war and those still missing in action. Friday, Sept. 16 is National POW/MIA Recognition Day. Please, take a few moments to pray that we will one day locate all of our POWs and MIAs and return them home to the USA and their families, or find concrete evidence that their return is virtually impossible due to circumstances beyond control. Even better, instead of just today, pray every day, that all POWs and MIAs are accounted for and, thus, closure is brought to their families and fellow veterans.

Thank you, in advance, for your anticipated support and prayers for all of our veterans.

Ron Fischer

Commander
