NAUGATUCK — The Harvest Moon Festival returns for a 33rd year this weekend.

The festival, which has been hosted by Boy Scout Troop 102 for more than 15 years, opens Friday morning on the Town Green. The fair runs from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.

The festival features activities for children, a live band on both days, a DJ on Saturday, and demonstrations of outdoor skills by local Boy Scouts, Festival Committee Chairman Ray Blum said.

The festival will also feature a nearly 80 craft and food vendors, Blum said.

“We pride ourselves on bringing unique gifts and merchandise to the event,” Blum said.

Festival goers will also see booths for community service organization that work in and around the borough, Blum said.

“For the adults there is the crafts and community service groups. For kids we have candy and vendors like Roller Magic. And everybody loves the food,” Blum said.
