NAUGATUCK — The third annual NEF Invitational golf tournament is set to tee off Sept. 24.
The tournament benefits the Naugatuck Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides grants for education programs in borough public schools that aren’t funded through the annual school budget. The tournament is being held in honor of retired Naugatuck High School boys soccer coach Art Nunes.
The 18-hole tournament starts with registration and lunch at 11 a.m. with tee time at 12 p.m. The cost is $100 per golfer, which includes a golf cart, lunch and dinner. The cost for dinner only is $35. The tournament is limited to 72 golfers. The deadline to register is Sept. 10.
