NAUGATUCK — Nancy E. (Shea) Lane, 70, widow of John R. Lane, passed away at Waterbury Hospital on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016.
Mrs. Lane was born in Burlington, Vt., on Jan. 14, 1946, daughter of the late Arnold and Joyce (Lewis) Shea. She was the former owner of Video Galaxy in Waterbury and a longtime resident of Naugatuck. Nancy, for many years, was a member of the Laurel Garden Club in Beacon Falls and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 640 in Naugatuck. She also enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sheri Kulmala and her husband, Ken, of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Penny Masch and her husband, Don, of White Lake, Mich.; her four grandchildren, Corey and Riley Kulmala, and Julia and Andrew Masch; her brothers, Raymond Shea and his wife, Sandra, of Beacon Falls, and Ronald Shea and his wife, Christine, of Waterbury; and several nieces, nephews and cousins, including Viola Fortin and Theresa Root. Nancy also leaves many longtime friends, including Richard and Helga Botelho.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery.
