HARTFORD — The State Elections Enforcement Commission has approved a public campaign grant under the Citizens’ Election Program for Republican state Senate candidate George Logan.
Logan, an Ansonia resident, is challenging state Sen. Joseph Crisco, D-Woodbridge, in the 17th District, which represents all or portions of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Bethany, Derby, Hamden, Naugatuck and Woodbridge.

State senate candidates have to raise $15,000 from at least 300 individuals residing in their district. Candidates can only accept contributions up to $100 and can’t accept money from state contractors or political action committees.
