NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Police Department is warning people about a rash of larcenies from homes and businesses.

Last Friday, lawn tools were reported stolen from School Street. On Saturday, a pallet of wood was reported stolen from a business on Great Hill Road. And on Sunday, a pressure washer was reported stolen from a house on Hilltop Road, while a table and propane tank were reported stolen from a back yard on Loranne Drive.

Police say they believe people are driving by homes and businesses looking for items they can steal when nobody is looking. They then quickly put them in a car or truck and drive away.

Police ask that people look out for themselves and their neighbors and to report any suspicious people or vehicles to the Naugatuck Police Department at 203-729-5222.
