DELAND, Fla. — Mr. Thomas F. Marino, age 76, of Deland, Fla., formerly of Prospect, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of the late Dolores (Duplaise) Marino.

Mr. Marino was born May 5, 1940 in Waterbury, a son of the late Nunzio and Dolores (Rossi) Marino. He was retired and a former owner of Prospect Sanitation, Prospect Sewer and Drain, E.W.R. and Tesco Resources, Inc. He was an avid NASCAR fan and also enjoyed boating, working in the yard and around his home, relaxing at his River House and spending time with his family.

Mr. Marino is survived by a daughter, Tammy Zollo and her husband Gerald of Prospect; a sister, Elaine Genest of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., a brother, David Marino and his wife Kathy of Bowden, Ga.; six grandchildren, Katelynn Berberat of Sarasota, Fla., Kelsey Berberat of Sarasota, Fla., Kara Berberat of Waterbury, Gerald R. Zollo of Prospect, Jenna Zollo of Prospect and Joshua Zollo of Prospect, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Marino.

In honoring Thomas’ wishes a private funeral service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect is in charge of arrangements.
