NAUGATUCK — Two Naugatuck High School students are putting on a fair this weekend to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Students Cassidy Baranowski and Emily Tribanas organized the Lavender Ribbon Fair as their civic action project. The fair, which will feature vendors, live music, games, and raffles, is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the Town Green on Church Street. The proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“We have decided to do this because we feel cancer has a major impact on people and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital helps to make the process much easier by not denying treatment according to payments. Families never receive a bill and our goal is to help them keep this tradition alive,” Baranowski stated in a letter.
