NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck YMCA has received grant funds for two youth sports programs.
The Y received funding from US Lacrosse to help run a lacrosse basics course. The 10-week co-ed program begins April 27 and is for children ages 9 through 13. The fee is $40 for Y members and $65 for non-members.
The CMAK Sandy Hook Memorial Foundation and Yocrunch Yogurt Company provided funding for a free six-week youth triathlon program designed to provide children ages 6 to 12 with a safe, healthy and non-competitive environment to discover the sport of triathlon. The program will run in the summer.
