NAUGATUCK — Lucilia G. (Goncalves) Lang, 90, widow of James L. Lang, Sr. passed away peacefully with her daughter Judy by her side on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital VITAS Unit.

Mrs. Lang was born in Naugatuck, on Aug. 5, 1925, daughter of the late Antonio and Emilia (Borges) Goncalves. A lifelong resident of Naugatuck, she graduated from Naugatuck High School. She retired from the Footwear Division of Uniroyal, Inc. after many years of service, and had also worked at McDermott in Waterbury. Lucilia was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church where she was a member of the Altar Society and sang in the church choir.

Mrs. Lang is survived by her two sons, James L. Lang, Jr. and his wife Susan Ayotte-Lang of Madison, and John Lang of Naugatuck, with whom she resided; her daughter, Judith Lang Rostedt; her five grandchildren, Steven and his wife Christine, Kristen, Kimberly, Nikki-Lee, and Sydney; and several nieces and nephews, including Francis Kelly, Linda Ploski and her husband Gregory, Sheryl McIntosh, and many others.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, to St. Mary’s Church, 338 North Main St., Naugatuck, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
