To the editor,

We want to thank the local businesses, family and friends who helped with our fundraising efforts to put an end to blood cancers with the Leukemia Lymphoma Light the Night Walk this year. Our grand total is $1,940.

We appreciate the kindness, generosity and giving of Prospect Veterinary Hospital, Andy’s Oil Service Inc., Triple Stitch Sportswear, Joes Refuse Removal, LLC, Skrips Auto Body, Dr. Brian Peck, Richard Pope P.A.C., Rosanne Scampolina, Bernadette Garrity, Anna and Stuart Sardinskas, Dennis and Mary Maurice, Don and Barbara Bragg, Donna Sagendorf, Jessica and Randolph Bernotas, Lawrence Lafferty, Elizabeth Couture P.T. and Robert Couture, as well as the patients of Dr. Richard Matza and Dr. Brian Peck, who push us toward our goal every year.

Especially in these difficult times, any amount is appreciated. Seventy-six percent of all the funds raised goes to research, funding doctors at Yale right here in our own backyard to do clinical trials. It isn’t too late to donate, if we missed you this year. Many of us know, or have known someone, touched by Leukemia, Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, and other blood cancers. Thank you all for helping to save lives.
