Amelia Labowsky Martonak, 89 of West Palm Beach, Fla. and formerly of Prospect, the beloved wife of the late Peter Martonak entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Gardner Heights Healthcare Center, Shelton.

Amelia was born in Seymour on May 22, 1926, daughter of the late John and Annie Pelachak Labowsky. Before her retirement, Amelia worked for Uniroyal Corporation of Naugatuck. She was a former member of Three Saints Orthodox in Ansonia. Amelia was an avid homemaker and loved to work outside. Amelia will be sadly missed by all and will forever remain in our hearts.

Amelia is survived by her devoted daughter, Judith Renkewith of Seymour; a caring brother, Peter Labowsky of Ansonia, and four loving grandchildren, Lisa Piccolo, Jo-Ann Cappiello (Ralph), Michael Renkewith, Brian Renkewith, and five cherished great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving daughter, Rosemary Piccolo; four caring brothers, John, Andrew, Stephen and Al Labowsky; a caring sister, Eunice Heigh and her grandson, Salvatore Piccolo, III.

Services and interment will be held privately by the family. The Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St., Seymour, is handling the arrangements.
