WATERBURY — Evelyn C. Gennarelli, 88, widow of Carmine Gennarelli, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury.
Evelyn was born in Waterbury on Jan. 24, 1928, daughter of the late Merrit and Ethel (Ringe) Potter. She lived most of her life in Waterbury, and retired from Stop and Shop in 2008. She had also worked at Uniroyal and Mattatuck Manufacturing.
Mrs. Gennarelli is survived by her son Carmine Gennarelli of Wolcott; her daughter Linda Greaves and her husband Joseph of Waterbury; her sister-in-law Arlene “Sis” Potter of Franklin, W.V., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Malcolm and Milton Potter.
The family wishes to thank the staff and special aides at the Lutheran Home for the kind and compassionate care given to Evelyn during her stay over the past two years.
All services will be private. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
