BEACON FALLS — Crews are working to repair a water main break on Railroad Avenue that have left some residents and businesses without water.
The break occurred at about 12 p.m. Tuesday. It’s expected to take about six hours to repair.
Beacon Hose Company No. 1 Fire Chief recommended residents without water not to flush their toilets until water is restored, according to a statement from the town.
Fire hydrants in the area will also be unavailable until the main is fixed. Beacon Hose has a plan in place with area fire departments for automatic mutual-aid tankers in case there is a fire.
