Rotary, Beacon Hose come together for cook off

BEACON FALLS — The Beacon Falls Rotary Club and Beacon Hose Company No. 1 are teaming up to host a homemade wine, beer and chili cook off.

The event is Feb. 6 at St. Michael’s Church, 25 Maple Ave. The cost is $25 per entry. Those that enter the contests will receive a free event ticket. Contestants can drop off three bottles of homemade wine or 128 ounces of beer at New Harvest Restaurant, 57 South Main St., on Mondays between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. To arrange a different time or for more information, call (203) 723-1888.

Tickets to the event are $20 each and are available at Beacon Hose, Beacon Falls Pharmacy, Beacon Falls Library, New Harvest Restaurant, Coldwell Bankers, 774 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, and by calling (203) 723-1888. The event is for adults 21 years old and older. All funds raised will be used for a local service project.
