WATERBURY — Stephanie Nicole Suarez Cardona, 27, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016.
Stephanie was born in Waterbury on July 29, 1988, the daughter of Raymond J. Suarez, Jr., and Theresa M. (Paszel) Suarez and had lived in Waterbury most of her life. Stephanie graduated from Crosby High School, where she participated in the ACE Program and also ran cross country. The most important part of Stephanie’s life was her family, especially her son Tyler who was her pride and joy. She loved life, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed exercising and dancing.
In addition to her parents, Stephanie is survived by her son, Tyler Morkis; her brothers, Christopher Matos of Naugatuck and Raymond J. Suarez, III of Waterbury; Tyler’s father, David Morkis and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Everyone attending the Mass is kindly asked to go directly to church. Calling hours will be Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
