NAUGATUCK — A 91-year-old borough man who was reported missing Monday was found dead at a local hotel, police said.
Naugatuck police issued a Silver Alert for Frederick Christiansen Monday night after his family had last seen him at their house early yesterday morning. Christiansen left a note at the home indicating that he might hurt himself, police said, and the family was concerned for his well-being.
On Tuesday morning, police announced they had located Christiansen dead at a local hotel. The circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation. No further information was released. Naugatuck police spokesman Lt. Bryan Cammarata could not be reached for comment as of this post.
