NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck police said there were two more burglaries in the borough Tuesday, adding to a string of break-ins over the past month.

The first occurred when someone broke into a house on Andrew Avenue during the day. Police said a TV and possibly other items were stolen.

“Usually with these break-ins, it’s electronics that are being stolen,” said Lt. Bryan Cammarata, Naugatuck police spokesman.

Police said someone also broke into Mr. D’s Tavern on Rubber Avenue Extension. Police said only some change was stolen.

Police have responded to more than 10 burglary complaints from residents and businesses in the past month. They are investigating leads.

Police ask anyone with information to contact them at (203) 729-5222 or the confidential tip line at (203) 720-1010.
