PROSPECT — One town employee used the Heimlich maneuver to save the life of another while working Tuesday, according to Mayor Robert Chatfield.
Chatfield said a Town Hall employee began choking on a pill around 3:40 p.m. when Megan Fortier Patchkofsky, the town’s grants director, came to the rescue.
Patchkofsky was able to dislodge the pill, Chatfield said. Patchkofsky is also a safety officer with the town fire department.
“Everything turned out good,” he said.
The choking employee refused an ambulance, he said.
