NAUGATUCK — Two borough students were charged with breach of peace Dec. 4 in separate incidents at Naugatuck High School and City Hill Middle School during which police say the students made threatening remarks.
Police reported the school resource officer at Naugatuck High responded to a disturbance involving a 17-year-old student. Police reported the student, whose name wasn’t released due to his age, told staff that he wanted to hurt people and made references to last week’s mass shooting in San Berdino, Calif. He was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Juvenile Court on Monday.
A 12-year-old City Hill student was arrested after an officer responded to the school shortly after 2 p.m. for a disturbance.
Police reported the student, whose name wasn’t released due to his age, pointed at a faculty member, simulated a gun with his hand and poked her stating “bang.” He was given a court date of Dec. 14 to appear in Waterbury Juvenile Court and released to his mother.
