NAUGATUCK — Mildred (Taylor) White, 82, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 at the Beacon Brook Health Care Center in Naugauck, surrounded by her loving family.

Mildred was born March 21, 1933 in Naugatuck, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Adella (Noble) Taylor. She was retired from Maho Machine in Naugatuck where she had worked as the assistant controller for 10 years and also formerly worked as a supervisor for 23 years at the Uniroyal Inc. Footwear Division in Naugatuck. She was an active member of the Hillside Covenant Church in Naugatuck. Her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, were the most important part of her life.

Mildred is survived by a daughter, Kimberlee Truman and her husband Michael of Georgia; four sons, William White and his wife Tina of Alabama, Gary White of Maine, Ronald White of Naugatuck and Darryl White and his wife Kathy of Naugatuck; two sisters, Wilma Ruccio of Naugatuck and Dorothy Marcellus of Naugatuck; 13 grandchildren, Melissa Truman, Katrina Truman, David White, Christopher White, Leslie Masse, Michael Hamelin, Courtney White, Lawrence White, Jr., Derik White, Daniel White, Darryl White, Jr., Jason White and Ryan White; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Lawrence White and Russell White, and eight brothers and sisters.

Mrs. White’s family would like to thank the staff of Beacon Brook Health Care Center for their kindness and the compassionate care that they provided.

Funeral services for Mrs. White will be held on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Hillside Covenant Church, 100 Hillside Ave., Naugatuck. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery in Naugatuck. There are no calling hours. The Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect is in charge of arrangements.
