ANSONIA — Kazimierz “Kaz” Kluzinski, 59, beloved husband of Ilona Slusarczyk Kluzinski of Ansonia, died peacefully on Dec. 14, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Pogwizdow Stary, Poland, on March 10, 1956, he was the son of the late Stanislaw and Zofia Weglowska Kluzinski.

Mr. Kluzinski served three years in the Polish Army and worked as a police officer in Poland for many years before immigrating to the U.S. in 1994. He settled in Seymour for four years, he and his family then moved to Ansonia in 2000. Mr. Kluzinski worked as a skilled CNC machine operator for the Moore Tool Company of Bridgeport for over 20 years, until the time of his illness. Together with his family, he enjoyed many vacations although his favorite place was a simply a beach.

In addition to his wife of 37 years, Mr. Kluzinski is survived by his devoted children, Chris (Magdalena) Kluzinski of Naugatuck and Patrycja (Kenneth) Sterba of Derby; brothers, Jan, Edward, Franciszek, Zbigniew and Andrzej Kluzinski, all of Poland; and his cherished granddaughters, Natalie and Maya Kluzinski and Olivia Sterba.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015 at 9 a.m. from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Ave., Derby. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m.
