WATERBURY — Hunter Richard Fiske, one week old, son of Maria A. Kohl and Richard S. Fiske of Waterbury, passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Hunter fought a brief, but fierce battle before passing away while being held in the loving arms of his parents. Hunter was born in New Haven on Dec. 3, 2015.

Left to cherish his memory in addition to his parents, are his grandparents, Anna Kohl of Waterbury, Herman Kohl Jr. of Naugatuck, and Richard and Margaret Fiske of Prospect; great-grandparents, Elietta Picanso of Naugatuck, the late Roland Ruby of Milford, and Hermann and Elisabeth Kohl of Naugatuck; his aunts, Amanda Kohl, Alicia Kohl, Catherine (John) Ruszkowski and Patricia (Kevin) Williamson; as well as a large and loving extended family.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff at Yale-New Haven Neonatal Intensive Care unit for the loving and professional care they provided to Hunter and his family.

Hunter’s funeral procession will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday and will depart from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St., and proceed to St. Francis of Assisi Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the procession leaves for church.
