MIDDLEBURY — William (Biff) Bivona, 60, of Middlebury passed away peacefully on Nov. 18, at his home in the loving presence of his wife and soulmate, Mary Lou (Brett), and children, Kathleen, Jackie, Joe, and Bill.

Biff was born on July 28, 1955 in Stamford to Anthony and Dorine (Holland) Bivona. He had a gentle personality that was evident through his music, his painting, and his love for his family.

In addition to his wife, children, and mother, Biff is survived by his siblings Dan and wife Jeanne, Lyn and husband John, Kristen and husband Richard, Andy, Kerry and husband Ned, and P.J. and wife Michele. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Joe Brett, brother-in-law, Bob Brett, sisters-in-law, Kathy Callahan (Dan) and Rosemarie Murray, and best friend of 45 years, Skip Shaw. Biff has many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who remain to celebrate his life. He was greeted in heaven by his father, Tony; sister, Monica, and mother-in-law, Lucille.

The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Bowen and his wonderful staff for their unwavering kindness and compassion over the years.

A Mass celebrating Biff’s life will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter and Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Road, Waterbury, CT.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
