PROSPECT — Mr. William Andrew Pearce, 77, of Prospect, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was the husband of Mary Ellen (Sweeney) Pearce.
Mr. Pearce was born Dec. 5, 1937 in New Haven. He was retired from J.R. Christoni in Wallingford after working as a truck driver for many years and enjoyed playing ping pong at the Wallingford Senior Center.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Pearce is survived by three daughters, Diane Pearce of East Haven, Susan See and her husband Russell of North Haven, and Joanne Fowler and her husband Wade of East Haven; five sons, William Pearce and his wife Laura Jean of Groton, Anthony Pearce and his wife Kathy of East Haven, Edward Mitchell and his wife Christina of Middlefield, Robert Mitchell of North Haven, and Michael Mitchell and his wife Lynn of Wallingford; two sisters, Nancy McKenna of California and Sally Garbien of Illinois; a brother, Mark Carboni and his wife Betty of Willis, Texas; 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 355 Foxon Road, East Haven. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
