NEW ROSS, Ind. — JoAnne Calvert, 64 of Naugatuck, Conn., passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015 at her daughter’s home in New Ross, Ind. She was born on Dec. 12, 1950 in Honolulu, Hawaii, to the late John Supebedia and the late Bernice (Diaz) Karlson
JoAnn was a social butterfly who loved to make people laugh. She had a knack of making you feel like she knew you forever. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. She was a loving mother and homemaker who was known for her homemade salsa and chips. She was a member of the Calvery Christian Church in Naugatuck, Conn. She will lovingly be remembered and missed by many. She is survived by her children, Michelle McQueen and her husband Michael of New Ross, Ind., Kelly Calvert, of Crawfordsville, Ind., Albert Cass and his wife Christina of Crawfordsville, Ind.; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her sisters, Georgina Andazola, Noella Supebedia, Cynthia Klar and Diana Barnes and her husband Hubert of Naugatuck, Conn., and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Supebedia, Bernice Karlson; brother, Dennis Supebedia and step-father, Raul Karlson.
A private service and celebration of life was held at the convenience of the family.
