PROSPECT — Mr. Anthony Joseph Augelli, 86, of Prospect, passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was the loving husband of Rosemarie J. (Mangini) Augelli.

Mr. Augelli was born in Waterbury on Dec. 16, 1928, a son of the late Nicolo and Antoinetta Augelli. He was retired as the owner of PIC-Castle Dry Cleaners in Prospect and was a communicant of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Prospect. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Prospect Chamber of Commerce, the Prospect Lions Club, the Prospect Little League, and the Prospect Board of Recreation. Mr. Augelli enjoyed gardening and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who were very dear to him.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Augelli is survived by a daughter, Carla Roulanaitis and her companion Randy Miller of Prospect; two sons, Mark Augelli of Harwinton and Jim Augelli and his wife Nancy of Prospect; eight grandchildren, James Augelli and his wife Jill, Robert Augelli and his wife Tina, Michael Augelli and his wife Katie, John Augelli, Trina Amato, Beverly Gonzalez and her husband Manny, Aubrey Roulanaitis and Michael Roulanaitis; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Anne Morra and Mary Renzoni, and brothers, Peter Augelli, Joseph Augelli and Nicholas Augelli.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be held at the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect on Tuesday Nov. 24, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m.
