BEACON FALLS — Police are investigating two incidents of vandalism that happened on back-to-back days early last week.

Police reported that the mailbox at 6 Lorraine Drive was damaged during the early morning hours Oct. 11. Police reported footage from a surveillance camera at the home showed what appeared to be a two-door light-colored car, the make and model is unknown, pull up. A male suspect got out of the passenger side of the car with a baseball bat, police reported, and hit the mailbox with the bat.

The car then left the scene. No other mailboxes were damaged in the neighborhood, police said.

The next day police responded to 357 Bethany Road at about 3:45 p.m. for another vandalism complaint. Police reported the victim heard a popping sound and looked out the bathroom window. Police said the woman saw two young white males running from the area where her 2006 Dodge Ram pickup truck was parked. The suspects ran on foot east on Bethany Road and were joined by a young white female, police said.

Police said the truck’s left rear tire was punctured and the truck was scratched.

Both cases remain under investigation. Anyone with information can call Troop I in Bethany at (203) 393-4200.
