Letter: Voters should exercise their right to vote

To the editor,

As we approach the Nov. 3 election I would like to urge all voters to exercise their right to vote.  A low voter turnout is expected as it is not a presidential election year.  In addition this is an unusual election year as most races like the Board of Selectmen, Treasurer, Tax Collector, and Board of Finance, are uncontested and each candidate will be elected because we are running unopposed.

There are two races, Board of Education and Library Trustees, that are undetermined and I ask for your support for Randi Bellemare (Library Trustees) and Doug Bousquet (Board of Education). Both of these boards have important decisions confronting them, such as the sale of Community School and a possible library building project. Both Randi and Doug will bring new approaches and fresh voices to the positions they are running for and will represent the Town of Beacon Falls with honor.
