To the editor,
I am writing this letter in support of a candidate for Burgess who has dedicated a great deal of time to the success of Naugatuck.
When I think of someone who truly loves Naugatuck, Dorothy Hoff is that person. She served as a member of the Board of Finance, a member of the Board of Mayor and Burgesses, and as a member of the local Parent Teachers Organization. She also has served on numerous volunteer committees. The truth is that, even as she has worked hard to make Naugatuck a better place, she still understands that family and friends are a priority. I enjoyed watching her spend time with her children as a committed mom doing all those things that matter so much to her children. (Driving them to sporting events, making sure they got good grades, and establishing herself as a tremendous role model who fights hard for what she believes in.)
At the end of the day issues will come and go, but what makes someone special as a candidate is their willingness to stand up for what they believe in and their ability to listen to the people. You may not agree with everything she does, but you will know that she is a person of character who will study the issues and do what she thinks is best for her community.
