PROSPECT — The town is advising residents to be aware of a scam from callers pretending to represent the Volunteer Fire Department of Prospect.
According to a post on the Town of Prospect’s Facebook page, the calls are soliciting donations for a yearbook. The calls are not associated with the fire department, the post states, and are a scam.
Anyone who receives such a call shouldn’t give the caller any money or information. Those who receive a call are asked to contact the Prospect Police Department at (203) 758-6609.
