NAUGATUCK — Dolores Anne Chuckta, 86, of Naugatuck, the widow of Charles Peter Marino and Michael Conrad Chuckta, died peacefully Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at Griffin Hospital in Derby.

Dolores was born on June 27, 1929 in Norwalk, a daughter of the late John Sullivan, Sr. and Mary (Payne) Sullivan. Dolores lived in Naugatuck for the past 15 years having lived most of her life in Westport and Fairfield. Dolores graduated from Staples High School, and she was a former member and past president of the Westport Emblem Club. Dolores and her late husband, Michael, were the former owners of the Daily Corner Café and Chuckta’s Catering Service in Westport. Dolores was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed traveling and entertaining and cooking for family and friends.

Dolores is survived by her sons, Charles L. Marino of Naugatuck, Michael Conrad Chuckta, Jr. and his wife, Margaret, of Monroe, and Thomas Samuel Chuckta of West Haven; her five grandchildren, Charlene Marino, Michael Chuckta, III, Caitlin Chuckta, Jennifer Andrejko and Christopher Chuckta; her three great-grandchildren, Tyler and Griffin Andrejko and Stella Chuckta; her sister, Audrey St. Amand of Wilton; her brother, Eugene Sullivan of California and several nieces and nephews. Dolores was predeceased by her sisters, Kathleen Shaw and Dorothy Hlavic; her brother, John Sullivan, Jr. and her daughters-in-law, LeeAnn Marino and Patricia Marino.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Calling hours are Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
