Obituary: Anthony Francis Froelick

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Anthony “Tony” Francis Froelick, 80, of Virginia Beach passed away on July 31, 2015. He was a son of the late Susan and Anthony Froelick of Naugatuck, Conn.

Tony retired from the U.S. Navy CSCM after serving for 20 plus years. He served our country during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. Tony also worked for Old Dominion University, retiring from food service.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 58 years, Bonnie and their children, Donald (Maryann) Froelick, Debbie (Mike) Robinson, Dawn (Ted) Jennings, and Donna Jean (Blake) Hanks; six much loved grandsons, Michael (Heather) Robinson, Ryan (Cindy) Robinson, Austin (Keli) Jennings, Bradley (Randi) Jennings, Matthew (Brittany) Hanks, Daniel Hanks, and eight adored great-grandchildren. Tony is also survived by his sister, Joan (Bill) Norton and brothers, Ernie (Shirley) Froelick, Bob (Joyce) Froelick and Bill (Glenda) Froelick, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Louis Froelick and a sister, Susan Karbowicz.

A Memorial Service was held at Albert G. Horton Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, Va. on Friday Aug. 14, 2015.
