NAUGATUCK — The Assessor’s Office is accepting applications for elderly renters and totally disabled renters until Oct 1.
To be eligible, an applicant or spouse must be 65 years old before the close of the preceding year. Income for a single person can’t exceed $34,600 and the income for a married couple can’t exceed $42,200. Proof of income must be presented.
Disabled residents do not have to be 65 years old. Proof from the Social Security Administration must be presented when applying.
