The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

JOSE CANTO, 55, of 18-C Mortimer St., Waterbury, was charged June 10 with first-degree reckless endangerment, failure to have a home improvement contractor’s license, willful performance of craftsman’s work without a license and failure to obtain a building permit.

AMANDA LORD, 24, of 163 Meadow St., Naugatuck, was charged June 10 with breach of peace, third-degree assault and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on June 10 an officer responded to Division Street for a domestic disturbance. During an argument on the street, police reported, Lord punched the victim. There was a child present during the altercation, police reported. Lord was given a court date of June 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

TANYA BLACK, 30, of 29 Pearl Road, Naugatuck, was charged June 11 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on June 11 at approximately 1:24 a.m. an officer responded to a suspicious vehicle in Cross Point Plaza on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Black was operating under the influence of alcohol. Black was given a court date of June 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

MARYSSA SANCHEZ, 25, of 259 Oakville Ave., Waterbury, was charged June 12 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on June 12 at approximately 11:54 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Sanchez was operating under the influence of alcohol. Sanchez was given a court date of June 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

GERALD WALLIS JR., 21, of 52 Summerfield St., Naugatuck, was charged June 12 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on June 12 at approximately 10:24 a.m. officers responded to 52 Summerfield St. for a domestic disturbance between brother and sister. During an argument, police reported, both parties hit each other. Wallisa was given a court date of June 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JAMI WALLISA, 26, of 52 Summerfield St., Naugatuck, was charged June 12 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on June 12 at approximately 10:24 a.m. officers responded to 52 Summerfield St. for a domestic disturbance between brother and sister. During an argument, police reported, both parties hit each other. Wallisa was given a court date of June 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

LUCAS DRURY JR., 19, of 365 Mixville Road, Cheshire, was charged June 12 with breach of peace, interfering with an officer and simple trespass.

Police reported on June 12 an officer responded to Salem School for a loitering, trespassing complaint. Drury and a juvenile were told to leave the property and refused, police reported. When they were being placed under arrest they began to pull away from the officer, police reported. Drury was given a court date of June 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and was released on a $500 non-surety bond.

KENNETH GARTLAND, 48, of 487 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged June 14 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on June 14 at approximately 12:08 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Gartland was operating under the influence of alcohol. Gartland was given a court date of June 25 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

KINGWIL NASIR, 24, of 108-4 Lantern Park Drive, Naugatuck, was charged June 14 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on June 14 at approximately 11:40 a.m. animal control and DEEP were investigating a complaint at 108-4 Lantern Park Drive. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Nasir was in the residence in violation of an active protective order. Nasir was given a court date of June 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

BRIAN LAVERTUE, 31, of 64 Nancy Lane, Naugatuck, was charged June 14 with disorderly conduct and violation or protective order.

Police reported on June 14 at approximately 2:22 p.m. officers responded to 64 Nancy Lane for a 911 hang up. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined there was a domestic disturbance at the home. During an argument, police reported, Lavertue broke the victim’s cell phone and was found to be in violation of an active protective order. Lavertue was given a court date of June 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

CARLOS J. GUTIERREZ, 46, of 79 Woodbine St., Naugatuck, was charged June 14 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on June 14 at approximately 5:49 p.m. an officer responded to a motor vehicle accident on Rubber Avenue. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Gutierrez was operating under the influence of alcohol. Gutierrez was given a court date of June 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
