WATERBURY — Pauline (Lamoureux) Russo, 86, the widow of Jerry Russo, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 28, 2015 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Pauline was born March 27, 1929 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Raoul and Georgianna (Raymond) Lamoureux and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. Pauline was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and homemaker and devout catholic. She enjoyed cooking, being outdoors and tending to her yard. She was a talented and artistic teacher of ceramics and owned and operated G&G Ceramics Studio for over 20 years. Pauline enjoyed playing cards and loved to travel the U.S. with her late husband Jerry visiting casinos along the way.

Pauline is survived by her eight children, Jerry Russo and his wife, Beverly, Georgie Russo and her life partner, Barbara Check, Alan Russo, Anthony (Tony) Russo and his wife, Emmie, Sandra Michelsen, Cathy and her husband, Mark Schlenk, Rosemary Bisaillon, Angela and her husband, Mark Foy; along with her 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pauline is predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.

Her family extends heartfelt thanks to her caregiver Gifty, whom Pauline described as her guardian angel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 1, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. Friends are asked to go directly to the church. Calling hours are Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
