PROSPECT — Kerri Leigh Rogoz, 20, of Prospect, died Sunday, May 3, 2015 of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Waterbury.
Kerri was born Dec. 13, 1994 in Danbury, a daughter of Christopher and Jill (Helmacy) Rogoz. She was a graduate of Woodland High School and worked as a clerk at the Shell gas station in Ansonia. She enjoyed music and going to concerts, reading, going for walks with her dog Milo, swimming and traveling.
In addition to her parents, Kerri is survived by a sister, Sydney Muehlfeld and her fiancé, Jonathan Taylor of Shelton; her maternal grandparents, Patricia Helmacy of New Jersey and Thomas and Florence Helmacy of Pennsylvania; her paternal grandparents, Robert J. and Mary Rogoz of Prospect, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 7 p.m. at the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
