NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Special Olympics Unified Fitness Club will be participating in the Unified Relay Across America from May 30 to June 1.
The fitness club, which meets weekly to promote healthy lifestyles for Special Olympic athletes and their families, is seeking donations to participate in the event.
The Special Olympics Unified Relay Across America takes place over 46 days. People will carry the Special Olympics Flame of Hope across the country and deliver it to Los Angeles for the Special Olympics World Games. The event is supported by law enforcement officers throughout the country.
Donations can be made online at uraa.donordrive.com by searching “Team Naugatuck.” Donations can also be mailed to Naugatuck Special Olympics, 111 Dunn Ave., Naugatuck, CT 06770.
