MERIDEN — Robert M. Minervini of Meriden formerly of Wallingford, died on Jan. 30, 2015 at Mid State Medical Center in Meriden.

Robert was born in New Haven on Feb. 13, 1926, a son of the late Mauro and May (Lepre) Minervini. He graduated from Hamden High School and from Ryder University in Laurenceville, N.J., with a B.S. in accounting. He worked as an accountant at several Connecticut construction companies. Robert was a World War II United States Army veteran, having served in Europe, with the Second Armored Division. While living in Wallingford for 20 years, Robert and his wife were active in the Wallingford, Conn., Wallingford, England Exchange Program. Robert and Marjorie spent many winters in St. Petersburg, Fla., enjoying Fort DeSota State Park and warm weather.

Robert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marjorie (Havican) Minervini of Meriden; three sisters, Charlotte Blake and Terese Czaplicki, both of Spring Hill, Fla., and Mrs. Janet Mazzucco of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 338 Church St., Naugatuck. Friends and relatives may call Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
