WATERBURY — Olga (Draniec) Lisowicz, 92, widow of Konstanti Lisowicz, of Waterbury died peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 at Middlesex Hospital.

She was born in Choromsk, Poland, on Jan. 16, 1923, the daughter of Damien and Julia (Szpeganowicz) Draniec. She was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church and belonged to the Olga Sisterhood for many years. She was very involved with her church and could be found in the church kitchen cooking and baking for the church festivals and events. She worked for Timex/Bendix Corp. for 30 years. She loved to garden, sew, crochet and cook for her family and friends. Family was very important to her and she loved to spend time with them. She will also be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, sense of humor, incredible work ethic and love of music.

She is survived by a daughter, Pauline Noble and her husband Stephen of Antrim, N.H.; a son, Anthony Lisowicz and his wife, Kathleen, of Moodus. She has six grandchildren, Glenn Noble and his wife, Danielle, of Prospect, Nadine, Olivia and Audra Lisowicz of Moodus and Paul Lauer of Florida. She has six great-grandchildren, Allison, Keith, Melissa and Madison Noble of Prospect, Carol Anne and Zachary Lauer of Naugatuck; a brother, Jacob Draniec of Belarus. She is predeceased by her granddaughter, Traci-Ann Lauer; a brother and two sisters. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Calling hours will be at Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, on Saturday, Feb. 14 from 10 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the spring at the convenience of the family.
