NAUGATUCK — Margaret L. Russell, 77, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, Feb. 2, 2015. She was the loving wife of James R. Russell.
Born on April 12, 1937, in New Haven, she was one of 11 children of the late Frank and Margaret (Guarine) Nuzzo.
She was a member of the V.F.W. Post No. 1946 Ladies Auxiliary in Naugatuck.
A devoted grandmother, she most enjoyed time spent having fun with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Jim, of Naugatuck, she is survived by her three sons, Raymond D. Ericson and wife, Lucille, of Northfield, Stephen F. Ericson and wife, Dawn, of Woodbury, and Glenn E. Ericson and wife, Tina, of Wolcott; a daughter, Kristin S. DeCarlo; four sisters, Anna Mleczsko, Christina Schiavone, Jessie Altiere and Marie Moore; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She also leaves many nieces and nephews to whom she was a special aunt.
Funeral services will be private. The Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck has been entrusted with the arrangements.
