NAUGATUCK — Vita M. (Cerulli) DeVoe, 61, of Naugatuck, wife of Alan DeVoe, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury.
Vita was born Oct. 6, 1953 in Stamford, a daughter of the late John Joseph Cerulli and Rosemarie (Sabia) Cerulli and had lived in Naugatuck for the past 34 years. Vita was a school cafeteria worker for the Borough of Naugatuck and was a former member of Sacred Heart Church in Stamford, where Vita and her husband Alan were married.
Vita is survived by her husband, Alan DeVoe of Naugatuck; her son, Christopher Matthew DeVoe of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; her daughter, Allison Rene DeVoe of Gypsum, Colo., and four nieces and nephews. Vita was predeceased by her brother, Larry Cerulli.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
