NAUGATUCK — Rosemary (Dunn) Healy, 83, the widow of Joseph R. Healy, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Healy was born June 27, 1931 in Naugatuck, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Grace (Thurston) Dunn and had lived in Naugatuck all of her life. Rose attended Naugatuck schools and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church.

Rose is survived by three daughters, Patricia Lynn and her husband, William, Mary Downey and her husband, Gerald, and Rosemary Witkoski and her husband, Hank; seven sons, Joseph Healy and his wife, Traci, John Healy and his wife, Maryanne, James Healy and his wife, Debra, Vincent Healy and his wife, Deborah, William Healy and his wife, Kelly, Timothy Healy and his wife, Karen, and Michael Healy and his wife, Michelle; her sister, Sister Grace Marie Dunn. Rose will be missed by her 36 grandchildren and her six great-grandchildren. Rose was predeceased by her two brothers, William T. Dunn, Sr., and Lawrence J. “Bud” Dunn, and her two sisters, Genevieve (Dunn) O’Dea and Patricia (Dunn) Gaspar.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave.
