WATERBURY — Charles W. Molnar, 65, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Hurd) Molnar.

Charles was born in Waterbury on July 31, 1949, a son of the late William Charles Molnar and Frances (Jordan) Molnar. He lived most of his life in Naugatuck and recently lived in Waterbury. He worked for various manufacturers as a toolmaker and machinist. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during Vietnam on the U.S.S. Little Rock. He loved fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles. He loved his family, especially his nephews and nieces.

Besides his wife of 18 years, he leaves two beloved sisters, Anne Molnar Lanteri of Watertown, Ilona Molnar Blouin and her husband, Claude, of Harwinton; a niece, Charlotte Lanteri Butry; two nephews, John-Claude Blouin and Craig Blouin; a grand-niece, Sofia Butry.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 10:15 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. A calling hour will be held at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial with full military honor will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck.
