Letter: Simple solution to voter fraud

To the editor,

I just read on the internet where an Illinois state senator went to the polls to vote early and when he voted for himself, a Republican, his vote was recorded for his Democrat opponent. Of course, the error was chalked up to “a calibration error.” Yeah, right, and I also believe in the tooth fairy.
Having spent most of my working career as a computer programmer and systems designer, I can tell you unequivocally, that the software was tampered with and all Republican votes from that machine would have gone to the Democrat with no one being aware of this gross robbery. How many voting machines across the country are being tampered with as I speak?

When our former senator, Christopher Dodd, bullied through the changes to all voting machines across the country, changing our reliable mechanical machines to electronic ones, he knowingly opened us up to voter fraud on an unprecedented scale. When I submit my ballot now, I have no idea how it will be recorded and worse, I receive no confirmation as to how my vote was recorded. Therefore, I have to trust that the voting machine was not tampered with — give me a break, please.

This now explains how certain voter districts in Pennsylvania and Ohio, during the 2012 elections, recorded not a single vote for Mitt Romney, the Republican candidate, not a single vote. Do you know what the odds of that happening are? Trillions to one, yet no one thought to question this obvious outrage. Instead we let these states go to Obama without question. This is absurd.

When are we going to demand that the voting machines in use now be required to produce a printed confirmation as to how the voters’ vote was recorded? This confirmation receipt would be given to the voter at the moment their ballot is entered into the voting machine. This is a simple solution to reduce voter fraud. When are we going to demand this be done? I am demanding it by writing this letter. Please assist me by calling or writing your legislators today and demanding we eliminate this obvious voter fraud. A simple piece of paper proving how the vote was recorded would help eliminate 99 percent of this fraud.
