To the editor,

It has been my honor and pleasure to have known Joe Crisco for the past 20 years.
I was introduced to Joe by former state Rep. Kevin Knowles in the early 90’s.

It was shortly after I had co-founded the Veterans Who Care Committee, Inc., a benevolent veteran’s organization. From day one, I was impressed by Joe and the manner in which he presented himself. He was then, and continues to be, an advocate for the well being of veterans and their dependents living in our state. There are many veteran-related functions and events during the course of the year, and Senator Joe always finds the time in his busy schedule to attend and take part in those activities. Several times I sought his assistance in helping either a veteran and/or a family member of a veteran, and he always came through.

Sen. Crisco has received awards and recognitions from several veterans’ organizations within the state, including the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States (VFW) and the Connecticut National Guard. He has shown that he not only talks the talk, but also walks the walk when it comes to his support for all U.S. veterans.

He is a proven leader and knows how to get the job done. Re-electing him for the office of state senator in the 17th District would be the prudent thing for all eligible voters to do this coming Election Day. He has earned that support.
