The voters had their say Tuesday at the polls.

Republican Lezlye Zupkus was re-elected in the 89th House District, which covers Prospect, Bethany and Cheshire, after defeating Democratic challenger Vickie Nardello.

Democratic incumbent Theresa Conroy held off a challenge from Republican Robert Willis to win re-election in 105th House District, which covers Beacon Falls, Derby and Seymour.

Democratic incumbent Joseph Crisco was re-elected to represent the 17th Senate District after topping Republican challenger Philip Tripp. The district includes Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Bethany, Derby, Hamden, Naugatuck and Woodbridge.

Republican incumbent Joe Markley defeated Working Families challenger Christopher Robertson to be re-elected in the 16th Senate District, which covers Wolcott and parts of Cheshire, Prospect, Southington and Waterbury.

Democrat incumbent Joan Hartley was re-elected in the 15th Senate District, which includes Naugatuck, after defeating Republican Karl Shehu and Working Families candidate Blair Bertaccini

Republicans Rosa Rebimbas and David Labriola were re-elected in the 70th House District and 131st House District after being unopposed.
