Students, faculty, parents and many donators helped to make it a success. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to fund activities and to the family of Jack Walsh, a Woodland junior who is fighting cancer. –CONTRIBUTED Naugatuck resident Jim Miele recently spruced up the garden bed on Meadow Street across from the Tuttle Building in downtown Naugatuck. –CONTRIBUTED Lauren Mulinski of Beacon Falls won the black belt weapons championship at the Connecticut Yankee National Karate Tournament Oct. 5 at Holy Cross High School in Waterbury.
