NAUGATUCK — Milling will begin Friday on two borough roads.

Union City Road from Prospect Street to East Waterbury Road and Clark Road from New Haven Road to the Prospect town line will be milled Friday and Monday, according to Director of Public Works James Stewart. The work will take place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., he said.

Stewart said there will be lane closures and police officers will be on the scene to guide motorists through the work zones.

“Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity. Utility structures will be elevated following milling operations. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes,” Stewart said in a press release.

While the work is currently scheduled for Friday and Monday it could be extended due to weather or unforeseen delays, Stewart said.

The roads will be repaved following the milling.
