PROSPECT — Althea D. Hubbell, 89, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at Waterbury Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Harold Hubbell.
Born in Waterbury, on July 12, 1925, Mrs. Hubbell was the daughter of the late Arthur and Myrtle (Allen) Davis. She was a lifelong resident of Prospect.
Mrs. Hubbell is survived by her son, Harold W. Hubbell, and his wife, Alice, of Prospect; her daughter, The Rev. Doreen Horstman, and her husband, John, of Prospect; her beloved grandson, Dustin Hubbell, several nieces and nephews, and beloved great-niece, Laci Davis. She was predeceased by her brother, Irving Davis.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 10 a.m., at Beacon Falls Congregational Church, 69 Wolfe Ave., Beacon Falls. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery, Prospect. Calling hours will be held Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
